Haiti’s Hidden Caretakers
When there’s no health care system in place, where do the people go for basic care? They travel to small villages where missionaries make their services available to anyone who comes. That’s just what happen it the mountains of Haiti, just outside the small town of Jeremie. We flew in on a eight passenger puddle jumper and landed on a dirt runway. To provide adequate care to those in need, we traveled by pickup truck on nonexistent roads and paths. But it was well worth the ride. Take a look.
